Draconic Evolution Mod significantly elevates your gameplay from vanilla, by introducing high powered tools; armors and other features. This isn’t a mod for the faint hearted, and many of the additions require some exploration, as well as time and commitment to increase your familiarity with the mod. However, once you begin to understand the inner workings of Draconic Evolution, you can truly appreciate the benefits that it provides.
Suited for battle
Draconic Evolution introduces, amongst many other things, some new pieces of armor. This is a great feature for the battling Minecrafters who are always looking to improve their performance. A few of these items, categorized under ‘Utilities’ include the Draconic Boots, the Draconic Chestplate and the Draconic Leggings. All of these items have unique powers, that give you a significant advantage over other players. The boots, for example, use Redstone Flux energy as means to jump higher; protect users from drops and climb entire blocks in one movement. It’s difficult to efficiently summarize Ender IO Mod, because this mod simply packs as many different components into its download as possible. The mod currently features, to name a few: compact fluid, armor, tools, items, machinery and more. This is a very comprehensive mod with a title that suggests mysticalness, but that is actually rather misleading, as the mod is so much more than this. However, this isn’t to say that the magical Ender doesn’t play heavily into this mod- because it certainly does.
As previously mentioned, this mod is very comprehensive in what it has to offer its players. In terms of utility, the most useful additions are probably the new tools and the new materials, as well as the selection of machines that are provided to players. For example, the Yeta Wrench is a great new tool, that when held, allows you to see through the walls of a block. Likewise, the SAG mill is an excellent machine featured in Ender IO, that allows you to grind items into other things. This means that, theoretically, an iron ore could be ground into nickel. Many mods briefly touch on the idea of magic, or incorporate magical elements into the game. However, this can be a little unsatisfying for those that truly enjoy the escapism of mystical magic and adventure. For this reason, Blood Magic Mod was invented. This mod focuses purely on adding serious magic to your Minecraft world, through innovative features and fascinating additions. The magic can also prove functional, however, and you may find yourself benefiting from this mod in other ways too.
Far from cute
Blood Magic, as the name suggests, is not a mod that adds cute elements of magic into the game. Far from fairy play and adorable tricks, this mod focuses more on rituals; sacrifices; alchemy and spells. The more sinister side of this mod is truly what makes it so interesting, as the darkness adds a whole new dimension to your Minecraft world. MineFactory Reloaded is a relatively old mod that adds many utilitarian features to gameplay, as well as some items that prove extremely useful to players. The overall feel of this mod is functionality, and if you’re looking to enhance your vanilla play, by adding some very practical features- then this is definitely the mod for you.
A popular mod
MineFactory is a classic mod, popular among a huge variety of Minecrafters. It provides lots of machines, primarily, that can prove very functional in the game. For example, an efficient machine that can help you produce valuable MJs is the Biofuel Generator, that produces energy through the introduction of Biofuels; themselves produced by the Biofuel Reactor, which turns organic matter (such as seeds) into fuels. Chances are, if you’re an avid Minecrafter, then you value your technology. If this is the case, then ComputerCraft is the mod for you. This adds an element of futuristic technology to your game, by introducing computers and robotics into your world. It also incorporates a programming element too, which is an exciting addition for versed computer users.
As far from vanilla as it gets
Minecraft, for all intents in purposes, sets itself in an older time period where huts and castles are a common occurrence. For this reason, ComputerCraft is a mod that distances you significantly from vanilla play. If you’re a purist at heart, then this really isn’t the mod for you, as it doesn’t enhance your gameplay so much as it changes it completely. However, if you’re a little more open minded, then you should definitely look into this mod. If nothing else, it gives you a chance to practice performing tasks that could be easily applied to real life situations (for example, simple coding). AgriCraft is a very comprehensive mod, perfect for those who take an interest in science, particularly biological sciences that involve mutation and crossbreeding. However, this mod is so versatile, that it could literally appeal to any user- including those who love agriculture or who simply value having extra crops to play with.
New and improved
AgriCraft builds on the work of IndustrialCraft, although many users report that this is a much easier and better formatted mod. What AgriCraft works to do, is allow users to access crops from other mods and use them to create new strains of plants- through mutation and crossbreeding. This can be done by configuring plants, and it’s essentially what IndustrialCraft originally set out to do. Continue reading AgriCraft Mod for Minecraft 1.8.9/1.7.10
Botania is an interesting Minecraft mod that draws from the idea that botanicals, i.e flowers and plants, are magical. In fact, the whole mod is a magical addition to your Minecraft world, that plays on similarly themed mods such as ThaumCraft and Blood Magic.
A flowery addition
At its simplest, Botania adds lots of new flowers to your world. This is a very vanilla description of the concept; as the mod does so much more for players than simply add flowers. However, for those looking to set their Minecraft world abloom, then this is the mod for you. In order to find the recipes for new flowers, as well as lots of information surrounding them, you must first craft the Lexica Botania. This is a guide, packed with tips provided by the mod creator, that you can access by simply right clicking on any flower in your kingdom. Continue reading Botania Mod for Minecraft 1.9/1.8.9/1.7.10
